Grow your own

Garden plots

Fifteen beds in four corners of the garden. Some are for households, some are shared, and three are raised for seated gardening.

Three steps

How adopting a bed would work

  1. Join the waitlist

Tell us what kind of bed would suit you. Households are matched as beds come free.

  2. Come to an induction

A short walk around: water, tools, compost and the ground rules.

  3. Look after it for a season

Grow what you like, keep it tidy, and help on the shared beds a few times a year.

Plots

The garden map

Hover over a plot in the list, or a bed on the map, to match them up. Each card lists the same code as the map.

Put your name down

Try the form to see how a waitlist might work. Nothing is saved or sent.

How often could you visit?

Demonstration form. It sends nothing and adds you to no list.

Questions about plots

Do I have to pay for a plot?

This concept doesn’t say. A real garden would explain any fee here, along with what it covers, such as water and insurance.

What can I grow?

Food, flowers and herbs. Nothing invasive, and nothing taller than the fence on the north side, so the neighbours keep their sun.

What if I go away for a few weeks?

Tell the roster. Someone from the twilight watering group can keep an eye on your bed.

Can I share a bed with a friend?

Yes. Two households often share one, which halves the weeding.
